2025 Tongshan County Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition
On 7 month 25 day, the Tongshan County Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Finals were successfully held at the 6-floor studio of the county's convergence media center. Themed "Meet in Tongshan, Chase Dreams for the Future," the competition aims to build a learning exchange platform, identify outstanding entrepreneurial and innovative cases, cultivate fertile ground for innovation and entrepreneurship in Tongshan, and boost high-quality economic and social development across the county. Wu Tao, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and County Mayor, delivered a keynote speech and declared the finals open. Wang Zhifei, Member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee, Director of the County Party Committee Office, and Head of the Organization Department, hosted the opening ceremony. As a National Comprehensive Tourism Demonstration Zone, a National Forest Tourism Demonstration County, a Key Ecological Function Zone, and a "China Climate-Equipped City (County)," it is a place of poetic living and a prime destination for talent to settle and thrive. Currently, Tongshan is constructing electronic information and equipment manufacturing industrial parks to high standards, creating a low-cost stage for talent-driven innovation and entrepreneurship. By developing four major industrial sectors—electronic information, equipment manufacturing, new energy, and new building materials—the county offers vast opportunities for talent to innovate and start businesses. Additionally, 9 enterprises have established bases in Tongshan." During the finals, the "10 + 5" competition format served as a catalyst for unleashing innovation vitality. In 10 minutes of presentations, 12 participating project teams showcased their strengths, clearly articulating their technical advantages and industrialization prospects within their respective fields. During the 5-minute Q&A session, judges sharply questioned market pain points, technical barriers, and business logic. After a day of intense competition, the judging panel evaluated teams based on technical content, market potential, and team capabilities, ultimately selecting winners for the first, second, and third prizes, as well as excellence awards. Finally, Wang Zhifei declared the event closed. He noted that since its launch, the competition has attracted attention from talents nationwide with its clear direction, open attitude, and pragmatic approach. 12 finalist projects, selected through rigorous rounds, cover strategic emerging industries such as high-end equipment manufacturing, biomedical health, and new low-altitude economy sectors. Through the concentrated display and interaction of these projects, the competition not only added strong momentum to Tongshan's industrial development but also provided a valuable window for us to observe technological trends and grasp industrial dynamics. The competition was organized by the CPC Tongshan County Committee and the Tongshan County People's Government. It was hosted by the County Organization Department, County Investment Promotion Center, County Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and County Science, Economy, and Information Technology Bureau, with co-organization by the Tongshan (Wuhan) Offshore Science and Technology Innovation Center.
